How a duplex unit is installed depends on its type. Framed bifacial modules may be easier to install than frameless, as traditional mounting and PV mounting systems have been adapted to framed models. Most manufacturers of bifacial modules provide their own fixtures to mount their specific panels, eliminating any installation issues.

For frameless double-sided assemblies, the clamps usually have rubber shields to protect the glass, and special care must be taken to prevent the glass from being damaged by overtightening the bolts.
The higher the tilt of a bifacial module, the more power it generates from its bifacial nature. A bifacial module mounted flush to the roof prevents reflected light from reaching the back of the cell. This is why bifacial modules perform better on flat commercial roofs and ground mounted arrays, as there is more room for the reflected light to slope and bounce to the rear of the module.
The bracket system itself can affect the performance of the bifacial module, and the bracket system with support rails is usually covered by the backplane of the single-sided module, which will hide the bifacial panels in the rear row. Junction boxes on double-sided panels have also been made smaller or divided into units, placed along the edges of the panels to prevent shadows.
